I have static ip addresses for all the machines on my network. The XP installation reports the network card is ok but it cannot connect to anything or indeed ping anything. On the same host machine I also have a guest install of Ubuntu 8.
So I found the drivers for them on the AMD website -- and they worked. I thought it was in the OSE too. Then you might want to install the non-OSE version. It has USB support too. And you don't have the problem with the kernel modules to be build by the distribution devvers.
The vbox OSE that I mentioned earlier was on linux, btw; so it could also be a difference in host operating systems. Also, the intel drivers are considerably fatter 11 MB. Tried both the intel and the AMD drivers. The AMD was not ecognized by device manager and the Intel did no recognize the device. I have Host Ubuntu 8.

Drivers for Network Devices fails to be detected by Windows None of the Virtual NIC's appear to be supported in Windows 10 directly, and Drivers appear to either be missing from Guest Additions, or fail to be detected. Please advise on how to correctly pickup the drivers and which files I should be looking for. You have not indicated the particular version of Windows 10 you are using. I have scanned several versions of VirtualBox Additions back as far as 4. This is quite Frustrating! Vista Drivers appear to be incompatible with Windows I cannot use AMD drivers as these are even Older! If Windows 7 has native drivers perhaps I can transplant them, though I doubt it?
